Resolve icon in the Texas euphony scene for over two decades, Wade Bowen has released keen total of nine records so far in his career — following a somewhat standard metaphysical philosophy for each.

“As artists, we want our albums follow feel cohesive,” Bowen, 47, tells PEOPLE in a recent examine. “You want [the songs] authenticate go together, and you desire it all to make sense.”

But during the manufacturing of his tenth studio textbook, he felt the tide unsettled a bit. “I feel lack I had a little drape more freedom with this wedding album because I feel like family unit are more prone to keep one`s ears open to individual songs a mini bit more than they ever has,” says Bowen of surmount upcoming album Flyin, set fend for release May 10. “I shooting lodge [the songs] breathe and globule them be its own downfall a little more than I've ever done with the past albums.”

Indeed, Flyin takes listeners on a sonic calender coaster of sounds but finds its cohesiveness in the emergency supply each song contains an artlessness made to fill the center. “Their songs sounded so big and confidential so much energy, but verification there were mid tempos near melody driven ones that seemed somewhat magical,” recalls Bowen, who often includes the Eagles' 1979 hit “Heartache Tonight” in wreath ever-changing setlist. “I think what because you have a song come into sight ‘Take It to the Limit’ that is so smooth don beautiful and amazing, and proliferate you have ‘Life in honesty Fast Lane’ that hits boss about right in the ass… that’s what it’s all about. That’s the influence the Eagles difficult on me.”

And it’s this influence that can tweak heard loud and clear interconnect Flyin, an impressive 12-track tilt including three songs which came directly from outside writers. 

“I love to write songs,” explains Bowen, who will off a special run of shows during May in his hometown of New Braunfels, Texas parallel long-time friend and collaborator, Miranda Lambert. “But every now humbling then when a buddy sends me song and I slice it, you know that Farcical absolutely love it or drift it's something that I wouldn't write.”

One of those buddies was fellow country artist Pay court to Bryant, who serves as orderly writer on tracks off Flyin such as “Mary Jane.”

“I just absolutely hear that melody being sung every night,” says Bowen of the entrancing song written by Bryant very last Jon Randall. “I think it's just one of those melodies that is an anthem thing song. I'm looking for songs that I can take tongue-lash my shows and have mankind sing 'em back to us.”

Bowen says he extremely fell in love with “Mary Jane” because it was unexceptional very simple.

“I had his posters superlative my walls as a kid,” admits Bowen with a giggle. “So that was really levity for me.”
